DHAKA, March 28, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Chairman and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today called upon party leaders and activists to stand by the common people across the country.
"People are looking towards the party with high expectations . . . so we have to be patient, we have to abide by the law and order and stand by the people. We should not do anything that poses problems, sufferings and difficulties for the people," he said.
The premier made the remarks while addressing party leaders and activists from the balcony of the BNP central office in the city's Nayapaltan area this evening.
Noting that there are many problems in the country, Tarique Rahman urged the party leaders and activists to convince the people about it and encourage them (people) to be patient.
He said that he would come to the Nayapaltan office more often, but stressed that the roads cannot be blocked, centering his visit to the office.
