DHAKA, Mar 10, 2026 (BSS) - Home Minister and BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed today said the government has come this far by following the constitution and will continue to move forward in the same way.
He made the remarks today while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion titled “Expectations of the Legal Community Towards the Current Government in Establishing Democracy, Rule of Law, Protection of Human Rights and Good Governance”, organized by the Bangladesh Nationalist Lawyers’ Forum at the Supreme Court Bar Association auditorium here
The Home Minister said the government is fully committed to implementing the July National Charter, describing it as a document of political understanding.
“We have signed it and promised the nation that it will be implemented,” he said, adding that the government will also implement BNP’s election manifesto in accordance with the people’s mandate.
