BNP will join polls after making water muddled: Quader

DHAKA, Dec 30, 2021 (BSS) – Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today said BNP formally announced that they won’t join the President’s dialogue which is a bad news for democracy.

“BNP’s formal announcement of not joining the President’s dialogue polls is a bad news for democracy. But BNP will join polls after making water muddled as like as donkey,” he said.

He was replying to journalists before joining a meeting with party leaders over Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) elections at the AL president’s Dhanmondi political office.

Quader said BNP’s purpose of joining polls is to make the elections questionable as they know they can’t win the elections by getting people’s mandate amidst the massive development and progress of AL government.

About the NCC polls, he said they won the previous two polls in that city and this time they are also working in unison for winning the polls.

AL Presidium Members Jahangir Kabir Nanak and Abdur Rahman, Joint General Secretary and Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Organising Secretaries SM Kamal Hossain and Mirza Azam, Education and Human Resources Secretary Shamsun Nahar Chapa, Agriculture and Cooperatives Secretary Faridunnahar Laily, Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit Roy Nandi, Science and Technology Secretary Abdus Sabur, Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua and Deputy Office Secretary Sayem Khan were present on the occasion.
