DHAKA, Feb 16, 2026 (BSS) - The government today appointed Dr Nasimul Gani, Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, as the new Cabinet Secretary on a contractual basis.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification announcing the appointment. 

"This order will take effect immediately," the notification added.
