DHAKA, Nov 18, 2021 (BSS) - Syeda Sajeda Chowdury, deputy leader of the

Jatiya Sangsad (JS), and M Anisur Rahman have been reelected as president and
general secretary of the 101-member central executive committee of Bangamata
Parishad for a three-year tenure (2021-2023).

   The election of the parishad, approved by Bangabandhu Memorial Trust, was
held on September 18, 2021 said a press release today.

   Presidium members of the parishad are Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, Prof
Dr Farzana Islam, Prof Dr Abul Barakat, Aroma Dutta, MP, Parveen Haque
Sikder, MP, Farida Yasmin, Setara Ahsan Ullah Poli, Prof Dr Uttam Kumar
Barua, Dr Jesmin Chowdhury and Nirmal Rozario.

  AKMG Kibria Majumder and Md Shafi Uddin have been elected as joint-general
secretary while Md Saiful Islam as treasurer.

   The parishad has a 10-member advisory committee. Besides, it has also an
8-member committee of patrons.
