
DHAKA, Nov 10, 2021 (BSS) - Flight operation at the country's main
aviation hub Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) will remain
suspended from 12 am to 8 am everyday for three months from December 10.
"From December 10, 2021 to March 11, 2022 between 0000 hrs to 0800 hrs
local time HSIA Runway will not be available for (aircraft) takeoff and
landing due to construction work of new connecting High Speed Taxi way," HSIA
Executive Director Group Captain AHM Touhid-ul Ahsan told media today.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh, aircraft will have
to use Sylhet International Airport in case of emergency landing within that
time.
