DHAKA, Feb 2, 2024 (BSS) - Philippine President Ferdinand R Marcos IR has
congratulated Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on her re-election as Prime
Minister of Bangladesh.

In a letter sent to Sheikh Hasina, Marcos wrote: "On behalf of the Government
of the Philippines, I extend to You my felicitations on Your re-election as
the Prime Minister of Bangladesh."

He said the Philippines joins other nations that have committed anew to a
close partnership with Bangladesh as "We reiterate our desire to strengthen
our bilateral ties and explore new areas of cooperation for the benefit of
both our peoples."

The Philippine President ended, saying: "I wish You success as You continue
to take on the mandate of leading Your country to further development and
progress."
