Stern action for violating health rules: Dipu Moni

DHAKA, Sept 12, 2021 (BSS) - Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said stern action will be taken against the authorities if any institution found violating health guidelines and instructions provided by the government.

“If any educational institution neglects to maintain health rules, which includes keeping the facilities clean, stern action will be taken against the authorities of the respective institutions,” she said today after visiting Azimpur Government Girls School and College on the first day of school reopening.

Dipu Moni ordered the suspension of the principal of Azimpur Girls School and College and the concerned supervising official of the education ministry’s Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE), Selina Hossain after the minister found old furniture and rubbish at a store room of the school.

Later, the minister visited the Kala Bagan Lake Circus School to inspect the overall preparation of the institution. However, she expressed her dissatisfaction after finding some unused places dirty and untidy.

Each corner of any educational institution, even unused places should be kept clean and tidy as dengue can spread from unused and unclean places, said the minister.
