CHATTOGRAM, Dec 9, 2023 (BSS) - Information and Broadcasting Minister and Joint General Secretary of Awami League Dr Hasan Mahmud today said everyone should work from their respective positions to make the elections free, impartial, fair and festive.

He said that everyone should go to the voters and asks for their votes so that everyone can come to the polling station and cast their votes.

Voter card should be sent to every voter and it should be ensured that the voters can come to the polling station and vote in the spirit of the festival, he added.

He was addressing a special extended meeting on the occasion of the 12th national parliament election.

The meeting was held at the Rangunia Upazila Awami League office with Swajan Kumar Talukder, chairman of the election conducting committee, in the chair.

Committee's member secretary engineer Shamsul Alam Talukder conducted it.

Dr Hasan hoped the election will be held in a festive mood with the massive participation of the people.

Chattogram North District Awami League leaders Abul Kashem Chishi, Shahjahan Sikder, Nazrul Islam Talukder, Idrich Azgar, Kamrul Islam Chowdhury, Bedarul Alam Chowdhury Bedar, Aktar Hossain Khan and Iftekhar Hossain Babul, Upazila Awami League Senior Vice President Abdul Monaf Sikder, Awami League Leader Khaled Mahmud, Master Aslam Khan and Upazila Vice Chairman Shafiqul Islam also spoke.
