DHAKA, Oct 26, 2027 (BSS) - A fire broke out at Khawaja Tower in city's Mohakhali area this afternoon.

Seven fire fighting units are working to douse the fire that broke out on the 12th floor of the 14-storey building, said Rozina Akter, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.

"We got information of the fire at 4.58pm. Five more units are on the way," she added.
 
The cause of the fire could not be known immediately.
