DHAKA, Oct 1, 2023 (BSS) - World Bank country director for Bangladesh and Bhutan Abdoulaye Seck today made a courtesy call on Salman F Rahman, Prime Minister's Private Industry and Investment Adviser at the latter's office at Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) in the capital's Agargaon area.
During the meeting, the World Bank country director lauded highly the economic development of the country over the years alongside giving assurance for mobilizing more support towards the development of Bangladesh, said a press release.
Seck also praised highly about the continued economic progress of the country despite the shocks of the COVID-19 pandemic and the onslaught of the Russia-Ukraine War.
He also hoped that Bangladesh would be able to overcome the temporary problem regarding the foreign currency reserve owing to the global conditions.
Welcoming the World Bank country director at his office, Salman highlighted the socio-economic achievements of the country attained over the last 14 years under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The Prime Minister's Adviser also extended thanks to the World Bank for their continued support to Bangladesh.
