MUNSHIGANJ, Aug 13, 2021 (BSS) - A K-type ferry, named Kakoli again hit the
pillar number 10 of the Padma Bridge on its way from Banglabazar Ghat in
Madaripur to Shimulia Ghat in Munshiganj this morning.

  Padma Bridge Executive Engineer (Main Bridge) Dewan Abdul Quader confirmed
BSS, saying that the incident of collision occurred around 6.45 am.

  However, no injuries have been reported so far, he added.

  Earlier, on July 23, Shahjalal, a Ro-Ro ferry plying the Shimulia-
Banglabazar (Madaripur) route, rammed into the pillar of the Padma Bridge
near Mawa area of Munshiganj around 9am, causing injury to 20 people.
