SANGSAD BHABAN, June 11, 2026 (BSS) –The government today proposed an allocation of Tk 31,099 crore for the Ministry of Home Affairs in the national budget for the fiscal year 2026-27, alongside a roadmap to ensure safety and security of the public.

Unveiling the national budget in the Jatiya Sangsad today Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury outlined the detailed allocation of the ministry. 

The proposed allocation marks an increase of Taka 3925 crore from the revised budget of Taka 27174 crore in the outgoing fiscal year.

A total of Taka 28,639 crore has been allocated as operating cost and Taka 2460 crore was given for the development sector in the fiscal year of 2026-2027.

In the revised budget of 2025-2026 fiscal, Tk 25,875 crore was allocated as operating cost and Taka 1299 crore was given for the development sector.
