DHAKA, Nov 06, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today framed charges against former deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank SK Sur Chowdhury in a case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) for not filing a wealth statement.
Judge Ayesha Nasrin of the Dhaka Special Judge Court-2 passed the order, initiating the trial officially. The court also set January 20 for the start of recording the testimony of the witnesses.
The ACC Deputy Director, Nazmul Hussain, on December 23, 2024, filed the case against Chowdhury for failing to submit the wealth statement within 21 working days of receiving its notice to do so.
The anti-graft body on August 25, 2025, framed the charge-sheet in the case.
