KYIV, Ukraine, July 25, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - A drone strike killed two people in Sumy in northern Ukraine, the head of the city's military administration said on Saturday.

"As a result of a jet-powered drone strike on a post office, two people were killed, one of them a 49-year-old man; the identity of the second man is being established," said the official, Sergiy Kryvosheenko.

In Zaporizhzhia in southern Ukraine, a man was injured in an "enemy attack", said the head of the military administration there, Ivan Fedorov.

The strikes come a day after a Russian missile attack on a demonstration of military equipment in the Kyiv region, which killed at least 10 people and wounded nearly 100 others.

On the Russian side, the acting governor of the Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine, reported on social media early Saturday a "massive enemy drone attack" on the city of Belgorod.

"Sadly, there are wounded, who have been promptly taken to hospitals," he said. "There is damage and fires on the streets, which fire crews are extinguishing".
