BRUSSELS, Belgium, July 14, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - The European Union and Britain
on Tuesday signed a deal ending border checks between Spain and Gibraltar,
six years after the UK officially left the bloc.
EU trade chief Maros Sefcovic took part in the signing ceremony in Brussels
alongside British and Spanish ministers as well as Gibraltar Chief Minister
Fabian Picardo. The easier crossings will start Wednesday.
