NEW DELHI, Jan 21, 2022 (BSS) - A grand statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, an iconic leader of India’s freedom struggle, will be installed at India Gate here “as a symbol of India’s indebtedness to him”, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced this today.

 
Modi made the announcement ahead of Netaji’s 125th birth centenary on January 23.
 
In a series of tweets, Modi said that he will unveil Netaji’s hologram statue on his birth anniversary on January 23, 2022 at the same place till the grand statue of the great leader is completed.
 
"At a time when the entire nation is marking the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, I am glad to share that his grand statue, made of granite, will be installed at India Gate,” the premier tweeted.
