HONG KONG, Dec 15, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Hong Kong pro-democracy media mogul Jimmy Lai was found guilty on Monday on two charges of foreign collusion and one charge of seditious publication, in a high-profile case that has drawn condemnation from Western countries.

"There is no doubt in our minds that (Lai) had never wavered in his intention to destabilise the government of the (Chinese Communist Party)," said High Court judge Esther Toh in a statement, adding "the ultimate cost was to sacrifice the interests of the people" of China and Hong Kong.
