China, Sept 1, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Russian President Vladimir Putin in China, New Delhi's foreign ministry said Monday, as they face increasing US pressure over the Ukraine war.

Modi, in a statement on social media, posted a photograph of him and Putin travelling in the same car to the meeting.

"Conversations with him are always insightful," Modi wrote on X.
