MELBOURNE, Aug 25, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - The only guest to survive a toxic mushroom lunch with Australian murderer Erin Patterson said Monday his health never fully recovered from the meal that killed three people including his wife.

"My health has never returned to the levels I had before the fateful lunch," pastor Ian Wilkinson told a pre-sentence hearing, adding that he felt only "half alive" without his wife Heather who died from eating the poisoned beef Wellington meal.
