BOGOTÁ, Aug 17, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - At least seven people were killed in Ecuador on Sunday when gunmen opened fire on a bar, police said, as the South American nation struggles with soaring gang violence.
"Seven people died from gunshot wounds" at a pool hall in the nightlife district of Santo Domingo, about 150 kilometers (93 miles) west of the capital Quito, national police told a press briefing, as purported security camera footage of the massacre circulated online.
