NATORE, Dec, 8, 2022 (BSS) - A day-long workshop on Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) was held in the district today.

The Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) under the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) of the Ministry of Planning organized the workshop at the conference room of the office of Deputy Commissioner here.

CPTU director Md Aziz Taher addressed the workshop as the chief guest with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shamim Ahmed in the chair.

Stressing on the need for proper utilization of various methods incorporated by CPTU within the eGP system for ensuring complete digitization, Aziz Taher said the training will ensure appropriate use of public money and accelerate country's sustainable development.

Md Nadim Sarwar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (general) and high government officials, among others, were present at the workshop.

Dr. Zeenat Sultana, Program Director of Bangladesh Center for Communication Programs (BCCP) delivered welcome address and made elaborate discussion on Citizen Portal and its effectiveness for people of all strata.

Meher Afroz, Deputy Director of Bangladesh Center for Communication Programs (BCCP) delivered the keynote speech at the workshop.

A total of 75 participants including representatives of Procuring Entities (PEs) and journalists attended the workshop.
