College student killed in Khulna train accident
KHULNA, Nov 28, 2022(BSS) - A first year honours student of the Government Azam Khan Commerce College (AKCC) has been crushed under the wheels of a Jashore bound passenger train this morning.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Aziz, 20, son of Atiar Rahman, a resident of Shiromony area under Khanjahan Ali Police Station in the city.
Police and local people said, Aziz was talking over mobile phone on the rail line, adjacent to Shiromony Hafezia Madrasa area under Khanjahan Ali Police Station in the city.
He was killed on the train line when he fell down under the wheel as a train hit him, Molla Md Khabir Ahmed, Officer-in-Charge of local Government Railway Police (GRP) confirmed.
Aziz was loitering near the train line in the morning and was engaged in phone continuously on the train line, quoting locals, OC said, adding that he did not pay heed in several alert by the local people.
His body was taken to the Khulna Medical College Hospital KMCH) morgue for autopsy, OC added.
