JOYPURHAT, Nov 20, 2022 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in a
drive, last night arrested six people from Kalai upazila of the district for
distributing illegal pornographic materials.

The arrested were identified as Akterul Islam, 31, Sadek, 23, Shaju Mia alias
Selim, 26, Sobur, 24, Samsul Alam, 34, and Shaheb Ali, 32.

Company Commander of RAB-5 Major Md Mostofa Zaman said, on information, a
team of the elite force conducted a raid in Molamgari Bazar around 8 pm and
nabbed them.

During the drive, six monitors, six central processing units (CPUs), 11 hard
disks, six mouses, six keyboards, various cables and 18 mobile phone sets
were seized, he added.

A case was filed under Pornography Control Act-2012.
