RAJSHAHI, Nov 15, 2022 (BSS) - A two-day 'Digital Innovation Fair-2022' began at Rajshahi Collegiate School playground here today showcasing diversified forms of digital innovations in different sectors.
Latest ICT products, multimedia classroom, mobile banking and e-learning materials have been put on display at 54 stalls of four pavilions at the fair.
Speakers at the inaugural ceremony said the digitisation of both public and private services have been leading the country to achieve the cherished goal of becoming a developed nation by 2041.
They also viewed that the rate of technological advancement in Bangladesh is increasing day by day and the young generation can make it faster.
The District Administration arranged the fair in collaboration with Cabinet Division, ICT Division and A2i with the main thrust of encouraging people to use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for building a 'Smart Bangladesh'.
The main theme of the fair is 'Udbhabony Joyullashe Smart Bangladesh'.
Commissioner of Rajshahi division GSM Zafarullah and Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Abu Kalam Siddique addressed the opening ceremony as chief and special guests respectively with Deputy Commissioner Abdul Jalil in the chair.
Prof Rabiul Islam from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering in Rajshahi University talked about various innovative topics, including smart technology and artificial intelligence while addressing the opening session as focal person.
Chief Guest Zafarullah said the government has been working sincerely for making all services available at the doorsteps of the people in a hassle-free manner.
The public in general have been getting digital services like e-governance, e-education, e- agriculture, e-health and other e-services at the union, upazila and district levels.
The government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working to build a 'smart digitalized Bangladesh' based on information technology by 2041, he added.
