BOGURA, Aug 4, 2021 (BSS) – A number of 87 more people were tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours after testing 575 samples in the district.

The infection rate is about 26.35 percent in the district, deputy civil surgeon of the district Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Tuhin said.

The total number of infected persons in the district stood at 19,288 and the number of recovery cases stood at 17,341, he said.

A total of 122 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in the district.

Meanwhile, two persons have died with coronavirus infection and six have died with corona symptoms in the last 24 hours in the district, Dr Mostafizur said.

A total of 575 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district.
