BHOLA, August 4, 2021 (BSS) –   A number of 182  more persons were diagnosed with COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hours in the district after testing 355 samples at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital COVID-19 laboratory.
 
Among the new positive cases, 132 are in Sadar upazila, 17 in Borhanuddin upazila, nine in Lalmohan upazila, one in Charfashion upazila, five in Manpura upazila and 18 in Daulatkhan upazila of the district, civil surgeon of the district Dr. K M Shafiquzzaman, told BSS this afternoon.
 
Meanwhile, two persons have died with coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours in the district, he said.
 
The total number of infected people in the district stood at 4,409 while the number of recovery cases at 2,574, the civil surgeon said.
 
Meanwhile, a total of 48 patients recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in the district.
 
A total of 42 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, he added.
 
Dr. K M Shafiquzzaman   said infected 66 persons are now undergoing treatment at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital, rest of the infected persons are now undergoing treatment at home quarantine under the supervision of doctors from their respective upazila health complexes.
 
The health expert of the district urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
 
He urged everyone to be more aware to prevent this lethal infection.
