RAJSHAHI, Nov 7, 2022 (BSS) - Speakers at a daylong workshop here today unequivocally called for improving the standard of services of Employees Welfare Board (EWB) for the welfare of the service-recipients.

Utmost emphasis should be given on ensuring transparency and accountability in the service delivery activities so that the service-recipients can avail their cherished services without any harassment and irregularity.

The Commissioner office of Rajshahi Division and EWB Rajshahi Divisional Office jointly organized the divisional level workshop titled "EWB Services Standard Improvement and Shorting out Future Plan" at the conference hall of the Divisional Commissioner, Rajshahi.  

EWB Director General Mohsin Chowdhury addressed the workshop as chief guest, while Divisional Commissioner GSM Zafarullah was in the chair.

Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police Rashidul Hassan and Additional Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Bijoy Basak spoke as special guests, while EWB Director AKM Fazluzzoha welcomed the participants.

Director of EWB Nawab Aslam Habib gave an illustration on the activities  of his office related to service deliveries during his keynote presentation.

In his remarks, Mohsin Chowdhury told the meeting that around 18 lakhs working and retired employees get EWB services easily and quickly.

He also said the service delivery process has been modernized for the welfare of the recipients.
