GAIBANDHA, Aug 3, 2021 (BSS) - As many as seven small entrepreneurs of Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) got incentive loans in Shaghata upazila of the district today.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sarder Mostafa Shaheen formally handed over the cheque for Taka 7.80 lakh to the entrepreneurs at his office on Tuesday.

Speaking at the function, UNO Sarder Mostafa urged the entrepreneurs to use the loan money properly to change their socio-economic condition.

Upazila rural development officer Mohammad Nahidur Rahman and other upazila level officers were present at the function.

After getting the cheques of loan, entrepreneurs Smriti Akter and Parvin Begum expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for giving them incentive loan which would play a significant role to change their lots economically.

Under the stimulus package announced by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for small entrepreneurs to counter adverse impacts of the coronavirus outbreak, BRDB got allocation of a total Taka 300 crore loan fund.
