JOYPURHAT, Oct 28, 2022 (BSS) - A day-long free eye camp for the poor was held in Sadar upazila of the district today.

Al Bashar International Foundation organized the eye camp programme at Ramdeo Bazla Government High School premises in collaboration with Noor Dubai Foundation.

Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Abdullah Ali Abdullah Kashif Al Mawudi inaugurated the eye camp this morning.

The ambassador said that it is a good task to do something for people. UAE is always with the good work of Bangladesh and is cooperating, he said.

Dr. Al Noor Makkah Eye Hospital and country director of Al Bashar International Foundation Ahmed Taher Hamid Ali was present at that time.

He said the organization is working to prevent blindness worldwide.

The camp manager Obaid Uzzaman said 850 cataract patients selected from around 10,000 patients coming to the camp will be provided free operation, medicines and spectacles.
