RANGPUR, Oct 28, 2022 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in a drive held a man with 314 pieces of Yaba tablets from village Uttar Bauchondi in Badarganj upazila of the district last night.

The detainee was identified as Mostahidul Islam Munna, 40, of Badarganj upazila of Rangpur district.

A press release issued by Senior Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-13 Flight Lieutenant Mahmud Bashir Ahmed said today.

“On a tip off, an operational team of RAB-13 for its Rangpur battalion headquarters conducted the drive and apprehended the man red-handed with the contraband Yaba tablets from the spot,” the release said.  

During preliminary interrogation, the detainee admitted his involvement in drug trading in connivance with his other cohorts for a long time.

Later, the elite force handed him over to Badarganj police station with a case.
