RANGPUR, Oct 28, 2022 (BSS) – High officials in a workshop have stressed on ensuring civic involvement and social responsibility in implementation of public procurement contracts to establish good governance, transparency and accountability.

They made the observation at the workshop titled “Civic engagement and social responsibility in implementation of public procurement contracts” held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner in the city on Thursday.

The Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) of the IMED under the Ministry of Planning organised the workshop under its Digitizing Implementation Monitoring and Public Procurement Project (DIMAPP).

Secretary of the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) Abu Hena Morshed Zaman attended the event as the chief guest.

Director (Joint Secretary) of the CPTU of IMED Md. Aziz Taher Khan presided over the workshop participated by representatives of government, private and contracting organizations related to procurement activities.

Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md. Sabirul Islam and Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur Md. Asif Ahasan attended the event as special guests.
