KHULNA, Oct 27, 2022 (BSS) - Dr Hamid Asgor, a valiant Freedom Fighter (FF) 
and president of City Unit Bangabandhu Parishad, have passed away at 
Bangladesh Specialized Hospital at Shyamoli in the capital in the early hours 
today. 

He was 71.

Dr Asgor, also former President of Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) of 
Khulna unit, left behind a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-
wishers to mourn his death.

He was suffering from cancer since long, family sources said.

His body will be taken to Khulna BMA premises around 4:15pm today where 
executive bodies of both BMA and Bangabandhu Parishad to pay their last 
respect to the Liberation War hero.

The FF will have been given State honour at Shaheed Hadis Park at around 
4:30pm.

He will be buried beside his wife at Tutpara graveyard after namaj-e-janaza 
after Asr prayer.
