RANGPUR, Sept 25, 2022 (BSS) - The Detective Branch (DB) of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) arrested two alleged members of an organized gang of fraudsters for cheating people promising jobs here on Saturday.
 
 "A special DB police team of RpMP led by its Police Inspector Md. Mozammel Haque arrested the two persons from a room at Ayon Residential Hotel in Modern Mour area under Tazhat police station of the city," a press release said today.
 
The arrested detainees were identified as Md. Ashiq Iqbal alias Roxy, 30, and Md. Rocky Islam, 21, of village Gosaibari Mohuakhali under Dhunat police station in Bogura district.
 
The DB police team seized a blank cheque book page issued by Kishoreganj of Sonali Bank Limited in Nilphamari, three blank non-judicial stamp pages valued Taka 100 each, a two-page application for admission to Bangladesh Navy, a notebook with a list of 28 job seekers, five pages containing probable questions and answer sheets and three mobile phone sets from the possessions of the arrested persons.
 
 "After filing a case against the duo, the DB police handed them over to Tahjat police station of RpMP," the release added.
