TUNGIPARA, Sept 21, 2022 (BSS) - Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today provided financial assistance for 315 puja mandaps at Kotalipara in Gopalganj under her personal fund for celebration of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Bengali Hindu community.

On behalf of the premier, Upazila AL president and secretary Bhaben Dranath Biswas and Aynal Hossain respectively handed over the financial assistance to the representatives of the puja mandaps at a function held at Upazila Parishad Hall Room.

Upazila Parishad Chairman Bimal Krishna Biswas and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ferdous Wahid were present, among others.

Sources said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given a total of Taka 315,000 to 315 puja mandaps from her personal fund for celebration of Durga Puja.
