BHOLA, July 30, 2021 (BSS) –   A number of 143  more persons were diagnosed with COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hours in the district after testing 322 samples at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital COVID-19 laboratory.
 
Among the new positive cases, 89 are in Sadar upazila, nine in Borhanuddin upazila, 23 in Lalmohan upazila, 14 in Charfashion upazila, seven in Manpura upazila and one is  in Daulatkhan upazila of the district, civil surgeon of the district Dr. K M Shafiquzzaman told BSS this afternoon.
 
The total number of infected people in the district stood at 3,656 while the number of recovery cases at 2,376, he said.
 
Meanwhile, a total of 36 patients recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
 
A total of 31 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, Dr. Shafiquzzaman added.
 
He said infected 69 persons are now undergoing treatment at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital, rest of the infected persons are now undergoing treatment at home quarantine under the supervision of doctors from their respective upazila health complexes.
 
The health expert of the district urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
