
RANGPUR, Aug 2, 2022 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in a drive
arrested two persons with 375 bottles of phensedyl from village Chairman Para
in Phulbari upazila of Dinajpur district on Monday afternoon.
"On a tip off, an operational team of the Crime Prevention Specialized
Company (CPSC) of RAB-13 set up a check post there, searched a pick-up van
and arrested the two men with the phensedyl from the spot," a press release
said today.
The elite force also seized the pick-up van and two mobile phone sets from
the possessions of the detainees.
The arrested persons were identified as Md. Alam Mandal, 42, of village
Kristopur (Mollah Bazar) in Hakimpur upazila and Syed Rezaul Karim, 43, of
village Ramakrishna Choar Hat in Nababganj upazila of Dinajpur district.
During preliminary interrogation, the detainees admitted their involvement
in drug trading in connivance with his other cohorts for a long time.
"After filing a case against the arrested persons in this connection, the
elite force handed him over to Phulbari police station in Dinajpur district,"
the release added.
