RANGPUR, July 23, 2021 (BSS) – Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-13) arrested two presumed drug traders with contraband Yaba tablets from Thikadarpara Nurpur area in the metropolis today.
 
The arrested are: Md Nurul Haque Milon, 35, and Most Meem, 23, of Rangpur metropolitan area.
 
 “On a tip-off, an operational team of the RAB-13 conducted a raid and arrested the drug traders from the area this morning,” said a press release issued by Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-13 Flight Lieutenant Mahmud Bashir Ahmed here.
 
During the raid, the elite force seized 223 pieces of smuggled Yaba tablets, two mobile phone sets and Taka 2,450 in cash from the arrested person’s possession.
 
During interrogation, the arrested admitted that they had been involved in drug trading for a long time.
 
“After filing a case in this connection against the arrested persons, the elite force handed them over to Kotwali Police Station of Rangpur Metropolitan Police this afternoon,” the release added.
