CHAPAINAWABGANJ, July 22, 2021 (BSS)- A number of 16 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours raising the total number to 4,745 in Chapainawabganj district.

   During the last 24 hours, 72 samples were tested in the district showing the infection rate 22.22 percent, Civil Surgeon Office sources confirmed.

   Among the newly detected patients, 15 people are from sadar upazila and one is from Shibganj upazila.

   Of the total detected patients of the district, 2,640 persons are from sadar upazila, 819 from Shibganj upazila, 619 from Gomostapur upazila, 362 from Nachole upazila and 305 from Bholahat upazila.

   A total of 484 patients are undergoing treatment in the district. Of them, 57 patients are getting treatment in dedicated Covid hospital and others at home.

   Meanwhile, 131 patients have died of COVID-19 and 4,138 patients have recovered from the disease here, the sources added.
