CHAPAINAWABGANJ, June 6, 2022 (BSS) - Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized one kilogram of heroin from Sonamasjid frontier area under Shibganj upazila of the district last night.

Acting on a tip off, a BGB patrol team from Sonamasjid Border outpost conducted a raid in Tohakhana area about 20 yards inside of Bangladesh territory at around 11 pm and chased two smugglers, prompting them flee away abandoning a bag, BGB sources said.

Later, the BGB team found the heroin after searching the bag.
