LALMONIRHAT, May 31, 2022 (BSS) - A court here today sentenced two JMB
(Jammatul Mujahideen Bangladesh) men to life-term imprisonment in an arms
case filled in 2018.

Judge of Special Tribunal-1 Md Mizanur Rahman handed down the verdict to Md
Hasan Ali alias Hossain Ali, 29, and Ashmot Ali alias Laltu, 28. Both are the
residents at Uttor Mushrot Madati village in Kaliganj upazila.

According to the prosecution, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-13) in a drive held
a few outlawed outfit JMB men with foreign pistol, magazines, detonator,
sprinter, battery and bomb making materials at the primary school of the
village at night on October 30 in 2018.

Police pressed the charge sheet accusing the two JMB operators on January 1
in 2020.
