HABIGANJ, May 26, 2022 (BSS) - A woman was killed in a lightning strike at Dudpatil village under Chunarughat upazila of the district today.

The deceased was identified as Ful Banu, 55, hailed from the village.

Local people said a thunderbolt hit her at around 11 am during rain when she was returning home along with two cows from crop's field. She was brought to Chunarughat Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctor declared her dead.

The two cows also died of the lightening strike.

Officer-in-Charge of Chunarughat Thana Ali Ashraf confirmed.
