MADARIPUR, May 23, 2022 (BSS) - A pedestrian was killed in a road accident in the Eaterpool area in the district town today.

The deceased was identified as Sultan, 35, a resident of Khetlam area of Joypurhat district.

The accident occurred when a pickup carrying litchi from Rajshahi to Shariatpur crushed him while he was crossing the road in the Eaterpool area in the morning. As a result, he was injured seriously, Madaripur Sadar Model Police Station officer-in-charge(Investigation) AHM Salauddin told BSS.

He was taken to the Zilla Sadar Hospital in a critical condition, where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
