JAMALPUR, May 21, 2022 (BSS) - Two persons, including an unidentified man, were crushed under the wheels of a commuter train in separate incidents in the district today.

Jamalpur Railway Police sources said Shamsul Haque, 60, in Rishipar area in Islampur upazila was crushed under the wheels of the Dewaganj-bound train from Dhaka around 11am while crossing the rail line in the area.

In another incident, an unidentified person, 45, was crushed in Shahjadpur area in Melandah Upazila under the same train while returning Dhaka from Dewanganj this afternoon.

Being informed by the local people, police recovered the bodies and sent it to Jamalpur General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Separate UD cases were registered.
