HABIGANJ, May 20, 2022 (BSS) - A mobile court arrested two smugglers along 
with 4,573 liters of soybean oil from Ajmiriganj Sadar Bazar area in 
Ajmiriganj upazila of the district last night.

The arrested were identified as Sumon Roy, 29, Son of late Sanad Roy, a 
resident of Samipur village in word no:09 and warehouse guard Nepal Vaidya, 
32, son of Gopal Vaidya of Nagar village in word no: 03 of the municipality.

On the basis of secret information, a mobile court led by assistant 
commissioner (Land) Shafiqul Islam conducted a raid in the area and arrested 
them with 4,573 liters of soybean oil around 11.30 pm when they were 
smuggling of soybean oil.

The mobile court also fined the arrested person in cash of Taka 10,000 each 
and the seized oil was later sold.

Members of the law enforcement agencies assisted the operation team.
