CHATTOGRAM, May 17, 2022(BSS) - Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) detained 
a total of 49 suspected members of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir 
from Al Bayan restaurant in city's Terry Bazar area last night. 

Mujahidul Islam, Assistant Commissioner (AC) of Kotwali Zone told BSS that 49 
Jamaat-e-Islami leaders and activists were detained during a secret meeting 
at the said hotel last night.

"The detainees are being questioned on their links with the banned outfits, 
at the Kotwali police station, he added. 

 Legal action is being taken if found sabotage link against them, he said.
