RAJSHAHI, April 28, 2022 (BSS) - Police in overnight anti-crime raids arrested two persons with huge fake herbal cosmetics from a place in Puthiya Upazila in the district today.
 
The arrested persons were identified as Muhammad Sujan, 33, son of Abdul Latif, and Bashir Ahmed, 32, son of Latifur Rahman, both of Bharra village under the same upazila.
 
On a tip-off, the detective branch of the district police seized a bulk amount of fake cosmetics worth around Taka 3.36 lakh after searching their houses around 8.15 am.
 
Superintendent of Police Masud Hossain told BSS that the arrested persons were involved in manufacturing the forged cosmetics and supplying those to various beauty parlors, gents parlor, saloon and cosmetics shops for a long.
