RAJSHAHI, April 5, 2022 (BSS) - With the healing of three more patients from
Covid-19 on Monday, the total recovery count in the division rose to 1,15,609
since the pandemic began in March, 2020.
 
One more person has tested positive for the deadly virus in Joypurhat
district under the division on the day, raising the caseload to 1,19,211 so
far.
 
The number of positive cases is equal to the previous day's figure that is
one, said Dr Habibul Ahsan Talukder, divisional director of Health.
 
The death toll remained static at 1,748, including 705 in Bogura, 342 in
Rajshahi with 220 in its city and 179 in Natore, as no new fatality was
reported during the last couple of weeks, he said.
 
Besides, all the positive cases of Covid-19 have, so far, been brought under
necessary treatment while 26,057 were kept in isolation units of different
dedicated hospitals for institutional quarantine. Of them, 22,985 have so far
been released.
 
Six more people have been sent to home and institutional quarantine afresh
while four others were released from isolation during the same time.
 
With the newly detected patient, the district-wise break-up of the total
cases now stands at 33,938 in Rajshahi, including 27,932 in its city, 6,521
in Chapainawabganj, 7,705 in Naogaon, 9,912 in Natore, 5,676 in Joypurhat,
24,934 in Bogura, 13,751 in Sirajganj and 16,774 in Pabna.
 
A total of 1,25,075 people have, so far, been kept under quarantine since
March 10, 2020 to prevent community transmission of the lethal virus.
 
Of them, 1,24,392 have been released as they were given clearance
certificates after completing their quarantine period.
