NATORE, March 22, 2022 (BSS) - The 47th founding anniversary of Islamic Foundation, Bangladesh (IFB) was observed today in the district in a befitting manner amid holding different programmes.

     On the occasion, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner office this morning.

     Ratna Ahmed, Member of Parliament for Natore and Naogaon reserved women's seat and Member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Religious Affairs addressed the function as the chief guest with Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shamim Ahmed in the chair.

     Md. Abul Kashem, Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation district office delivered the welcome speech.

     The chief guest said the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has made the Islamic Foundation more dynamic and model mosques are being set up at district and upazila level across the country.

     She also said Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman established the Islamic Foundation for the propagation of Islam in the country after independence.
