RANGPUR, March 20, 2022 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested

an alleged female drug trader with 350 grams of heroin from Phulbari rail
station in Phulbari upazila town of Dinajpur district on Saturday afternoon.

   "On a tip off, the elite force searched a passenger train there and
arrested the woman with heroin from the train," said a press release issued
here by Senior Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-13 Flight Lieutenant Mahmud
Bashir Ahmed today.

   During the operation, the elite force seized the contraband heroin packed
in four mini polythene packets with cash money and a mobile phone set from
the detainee's possession.

   The arrested woman was identified as Nilufa Begum, 45, of Rajshahi
district.

   During primary interrogation, the arrested woman admitted her involvement
in drug trading in connivance with her other cohorts for a long time.

   "After filing a case in this connection, the elite force handed over the
arrested woman to Parbatipur railway police station in Dinajpur," the release
said, adding that investigation continues against her other absconding
associates.
